Law students from Universidade Nova de Lisboa are awarded a summer traineeship at VdA

Maria Beatriz Morais and Sara Ferreira, Law students from Universidade Nova de Lisboa are the winners of a summer traineeship at VdA as they were the winning team at the 4^th edition of the Portuguese Moot Court. The awards ceremony took place at VdA's auditorium, as usual, on the 24 November, the same day as the competition. VdA, through VdAcademia is a strong supporter of the Portuguese Moot Court since its inception and is glad to see a growing number of teams entering the competition. This year there were 10 teams of students coming from the Law Faculties of Universidade de Lisboa, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Universidade de Coimbra and Universidade do Porto, as well as from ISCSP.

The Portuguese Moot Court is organized every year by the Students Association of Universidade Nova de Lisboa and by the Portuguese Association of International Law (SPDI). The Court of Appeal of Lisbon (Tribunal da Relação de Lisboa) also supports the competition since its inception opening up  its courtrooms for the students' claims. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Secretary of State of the Sea and the Secretary of State for Culture also support the Portuguese Moot Court offering summer traineeships to the runners up.
