VdAcademia, in the persons of its president and partner at VdA, Rodrigo Esteves de Oliveira, and Hugo Moredo Santos, VdA's managing associate and member of the Executive Committee at VdAcademia, signed a cooperation protocol with the University of Lisbon Faculty of Law. The signing took place at the Faculty on the 11 October.

Cooperation between these two institutions is now formalized further to the joint initiatives that the two have already put forward, namely the awarding of VdAcademia 2010 prize to a Law student from the University of Lisbon, José Ferreira Marques, (who is presently working as a trainee at VdA) which took place at the Faculty's premises and was attended by Vasco Vieira de Almeida. At the event a colloquium took place on "Arbitration: an alternate justice" where Prof. António Menezes Cordeiro, Prof. Doutor Pedro Romano Martinez, Mário Esteves de Oliveira and Frederico Gonçalves Pereira were speakers.

As a partner of the Faculty of Law, VdAcademia is to jointly sponsor, support and organize initiatives such as training sessions, courses, conferences and other academic events, alongside the Faculty's teaching and directing bodies.
