VdAcademia is sponsoring the European Law Moot Court Competition 2012's regional sessions. The competition's national sessions will be taking place on the 17, 18 February 2012, at Minho University and at the Guimarães Court of Appeal, respectively. The final European session will be taking place at the European Union Court of Justice, in Luxembourg.

This is the largest international competition for Law students and aims to promote EU Law research and to reward merit. It is supported by the EU institutions and mobilizes hundreds of European and American universities.

Regional sessions taking place in Portugal are being organized by Minho University's Center for European Union Law Studies (CEDU - Centro de Estudos em Direito da União Europeia, da Universidade do Minho) under its director, Professor Alessandra Silveira's supervision.
