VdAcademia sponsored the Portuguese team present at Telders International Law Moot Court Contest.  Pedro Espírito Santo, José Pedro Godinho, Maria Francisca and Inês Paulino come from the Nova University of Lisbon and are on their second year of sudies, while Francisco Freitas da Costa, who coached the team is on his third year of studies at the same university. This is the second time he attends the competition.

The Portuguese team was the only team coming from iberia. This is a 34 year old contest that takes place annualy in the Hague, in the Netherlands. Moot courts are created in which the students participate as an extra-curricular activity common to many international Law faculties. This year there were 23 teams coming from universities from all over the world. The competition is organized by Leiden University whose team reached the final challenge against the university College London team, from England who was the final winner. 

"It was an extremely intensive but extremely rewarding week", said Pedro Espírito Santo. Although the Portuguese team did not reach the final, its members were highly praised by the competition's president who considered that its members delivered one of the best allegations in the competition.
